Using fabric and thread scraps collected over years, the face of these mirrors are appliquéd in a collage style. Each mirror is set in an antiqued bronze metal finish.

a note: many of the fabrics and threads have personal meaning to me. For example, the brown tweed used as a background in a few of the mirrors was leftover fabric from my beloved great-Grandma sewing trousers for great-Grandpa Harry. Some are fabrics leftover from baby bonnets I made for my child in those early years of being a new mom. There is even a lovely mustard yellow flax thread from Grandma Alta’s collection, purchased from a company that went out of business in the 60s.
