Violet Tincture (Viola odorata)

$12.00

Violet is a common little plant easily found in shady areas of many yards. This herb has pain relieving and demulcent properties, deeply nourishing and moisturizing tissues while calming inflammation and irritation.

Violet is a powerful lymphagogue, meaning she will get things moving in the lymphatic system, keeping old gunk from stagnating in the body. Take this tincture when the lymph feels swollen or when the body is feeling “stuck”.

Violet is ruled by Venus, planet of love. A folk name for violet is heartsease, giving us a peek of what violet may help with in ritual and healing work.

The leaves of sweet violet are harvested and steeped in alcohol for at least 8 weeks, then strained and bottled.

Instructions: Place 1-3 dropperfuls of tincture in a small glass of water or directly under the tongue. Best taken between meals, take as needed. Consult with a trusted herbalist or physician if you are nursing, pregnant, or taking other medications.

Our promise: The herbs in every one of our products are grown and harvested at Orchard Hill Gardens mirroring the cycles of nature and using natural farming methods. No harmful chemicals are used on our plants, ever.
