Reishi Tincture (Ganoderma lucidum)

Reishi is an adaptogenic woody fungus that likes to grow on decaying hardwood. Used in Traditional Chinese Medicine for thousands of years, reishi has a long history of adaptogenic and immunomodulating effects in the human body, earning it the moniker “mushroom of immortality”.

Reishi has the amazing ability to activate B-cells, T-cells and natural killer cells. In this way, reishi supports the immune system, helping the body to fight off free radicals, cancer cells, and providing protection for the liver and kidneys. Reishi suppresses the formation of new blood cells by tumors, which in turn starves the forming tumor.

Studies have shown reishi to alleviate chronic bronchitis as well as lessen the time of viral (such as Epstein-Barr and herpes) outbreaks.

Reishi mushrooms are harvested, cut and steeped in alcohol for at least 8 weeks, then strained. The reishi is then decocted, strained, combined with the alcohol tincture, then bottled.

Instructions: Place 1-3 dropperfuls of tincture in a small glass of water or directly under the tongue. Best taken between meals, take as needed. Consult with a trusted herbalist or physician if you are nursing, pregnant, or taking other medications.
