Mullein Tincture (Verbascum thapsus)

Mullein is a graceful, woolly, grey-green plant that commonly grows along roadsides and ditches. The large fuzzy leaves and yellow flowers are high in saponins which contribute to mullein’s ability to loosen mucus in the chest, leading to more productive coughs.

Lean on mullein to relieve respiratory complaints such as bronchial congestion, pulmonary stress from allergies and spastic coughing. soothe and hydrate the lungs, Mullein’s demulcent (moistening) and cooling qualities soothe and hydrate the lungs which is helpful for dry coughs.

Mullein corresponds with Saturn, and has been used across many traditions as a protective charm to ward against evil spirits.

The leaves of the mullein plant are harvested, cut and steeped in alcohol for at least 8 weeks, then strained and bottled.

Instructions: Place 1-3 dropperfuls of tincture in a small glass of water or directly under the tongue. Best taken between meals, take as needed. Consult with a trusted herbalist or physician if you are nursing, pregnant, or taking other medications.
