Lavender is a sweet-smelling, heat-loving flowering herb in the mint family well known for her therapeutic aromatic qualities.

Lavender is a herb famous for its calming effect on the mind and strong affinity for the nervous system. Lavender soothes anxiety, lifts the mood, eases tension, and restores calm in the body. Lavender may be taken at the onset of a headache or migraine to ease the symptoms. Internally, lavender acts as a carminative, sedative and antispasmodic, relieving the ills of a touchy digestive system as well as the muscles surrounding and supporting it.

As a correspondant of Mercury, lavender aids in clarity and communication. Lavender clears blocked energy and may be used for cleansing in ritual work.

The flowering stalks of lavender are harvested, dried and steeped in oil for 6 months, then strained and bottled.
