Catnip Tincture (Nepeta cataria)

$12.00

Catnip is a fuzzy herb in the mint family that is well-known for its psychoactive effect on cats. Not only for felines, catnip’s silvery green foliage has a distinctive minty and musky smell that is very pleasant and calming to adults and children alike when drunk in tea form.

As a mild sedative and anxiolytic, catnip helps soothe the mind while also stimulating healthy digestion. As an herb with dual energetics, catnip has a warming carminative effect on the gastrointestinal system, while cooling and relaxing frustration of the mind.

As a Venusian plant, catnip conjures platonic love and cements friendship when used in ritual work.

The entire flowering catnip plant is harvested, cut and steeped in alcohol for at least 8 weeks, then strained and bottled.

Instructions: Place 1-3 dropperfuls of tincture in a small glass of water or directly under the tongue. Best taken between meals, take as needed. Consult with a trusted herbalist or physician if you are nursing, pregnant, or taking other medications.

Our promise: The herbs in every one of our products are grown and harvested at Orchard Hill Gardens mirroring the cycles of nature and using natural farming methods. No harmful chemicals are used on our plants, ever.
