Borage Tincture (Borago officinalis)

$12.00

Borage is a warrior of an herb with very large leaves covered in bristly hairs. While in bloom, borage carries small, vivid blue star-shaped flowers. The fresh plant smells like cucumber when the leaves are crushed.

Borage is cooling and moistening, demulcent and emollient when used externally. Borage tincture lifts the mood and relieves nervous exhaustion. This herb has long been used to bring courage to the heart, easing anxiety around difficult situations.

Borage is linked with Jupiter, characterized by expansion, leadership and growth. Use in ritual work to call in courage, strength of heart and groundedness.

The leaf, flower and stem of borage are harvested, cut and steeped in alcohol for at least 8 weeks, then strained and bottled.

Instructions: Place 1-3 dropperfuls of tincture in a small glass of water or directly under the tongue. Best taken between meals, take as needed. Consult with a trusted herbalist or physician if you are nursing, pregnant, or taking other medications.

Our promise: The herbs in every one of our products are grown and harvested at Orchard Hill Gardens mirroring the cycles of nature and using natural farming methods. No harmful chemicals are used on our plants, ever.
